The Sylacauga men's soccer team has plenty to be proud of in the 2023 season. The Aggies finished the year area champions while holding a top-10 ranking for much of the season while replacing much of the starting lineup from a season ago. 

However, In a hard-fought match on Thursday night in a tough environment, the Aggies 2023 season came to a close at Elmore County High School as the two teams went down to the final moments. 

The panthers scored the game's first only goal in the second minute (38:43) of the first half on a breakaway run to the net. The Aggies were able to put numerous shots on goal throughout the rest of the match, including one that was narrowly saved by the panther' goaltender in the opening moments of the first half. 

The women's soccer team is set to compete against Marbury on Friday night in Sylacauga.
