TALLADEGA, Ala. - Sylacauga men's basketball earned multiple selections on the 2025-2026 Big Schools All-Talladega County teams, highlighted by head coach
Joel Jones and several Aggie standouts.
Coach Jones was named Big Schools Coach of the Year for the second straight season. In two years at Sylacauga, he has led the Aggies to back-to-back area regular season and tournament championships, two regional titles, and two Class 5A state championship appearances. The Aggies are 60-7 overall under Jones and 29-0 at home. Sylacauga finished the season 30-3, including a 16-0 mark at home.
CJ Franklin was selected as Big Schools Player of the Year, giving Sylacauga back-to-back recipients after Jordan Roberson received the award last season. Franklin averaged 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game. He also earned Class 5A Central Regional MVP after averaging 14.5 points and 7.0 assists in the regional tournament and later picked up First Team All-State honors in Class 5A.
Erick O'Neal and Josh Speer secured spots on the Big Schools First Team alongside Franklin.
Corbyn Patterson and Tristan Whetstone were chosen for the Second Team.
Kinsen Threatt and Se'ryon McMillan received honorable mentions.
