SYLACAUGA, Ala. - The Sylacauga Aggies (29-3) will face the Wenonah Dragons (26-8) in the Class 5A Final Four on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. at Legacy Arena, with a spot in the state championship game on the line.
Sylacauga reached this stage by defeating Beauregard 65-48 in the first round of the state tournament, narrowly defeating Selma in a 51-50 thriller, and cruising past Montevallo 68-47 to claim the Class 5A Central Regional title.
Wenonah earned its spot by defeating G.W. Carver 80-61 in the opening round, overpowering Jacksonville 92-56, and securing a 73-65 victory over Hayden in the Class 5A Northeast Regional final.
This marks Sylacauga's first Final Four appearance since 2021, when the Aggies fell to Lee-Huntsville 67-25. They are seeking their first championship berth since 2018, when they won the state title.
