Welcome to SylacaugaAggies.com - the official website of Sylacauga athletics

The Aggie Sports Network welcomes you to SylacaugaAggies.com - The Official Website of Sylacauga Athletics. In partnership with Sylacauga City Schools, The Aggie Sports Network, the official broadcast partner of Sylacauga athletics, is excited to bring the Sylacauga community, fans, and alumni a premier, Division-I athletics-level website for all things surrounding your Sylacauga Aggies.

With much larger plans in mind, SylacaugaAggies.com is a stepping stone towards making all sports at Sylacauga City Schools unmissable, and taking Sylacauga athletics to the next level.

So, what can you expect from SylacaugaAggies.com?

This new hub for Sylacauga athletics is very similar to the official websites of the University of Alabama and Auburn University athletics, because it is powered by the same industry-leading content management system. Since SylacaugaAggies.com is powered by the same CMS, the front-end user can expect an almost identical experience.

One of the goals of this site is to eliminate the headaches for Aggie fans. For years, finding rosters, schedules, scores, stories, live games, contact information for coaches and administration, and more for high school sports has been nothing short of impossible if you do not know exactly where to go online. This is why SylacaugaAggies.com is needed. It provides a central location for everything Sylacauga fans, visiting fans, and even college coaches need, while highlighting the accomplishments of Sylacauga student-athletes.

The home page of the site is the central location for current information and content. The most recent stories featuring players, coaches, and pertinent information are at the top of the site. As you scroll, notice upcoming events and games. Even as you read this (on desktop), there are upcoming events featured at the foot of the page. The site features schedules for varsity, junior varsity, and Nichols-Lawson athletics. So, to get a glimpse of upcoming contests, you never need to leave the home page. Farther down the home page lives a social media wall featuring posts from teams' social media pages, podcasts and recent videos posted by The Aggie Sports Network on its YouTube channel.

Now, to the top navigation bar. Under the "Sports" tab, you will see two columns, one for boy's athletics and one for girl's athletics. With it, you have the option to navigate to that sport's specific page inside of the site, go directly to a current schedule or roster, or visit a linked social media page. On a sport's page, information for varsity, junior varsity and NLMS can be found. It is important to note this a site that features varsity athletics, pertaining only the most common information (schedule and rosters) for junior varsity and middle school sports. Each sports' page will be filled with more information as the school year moves along.

One of the most impressive details of the site has to be a team's schedule. Schedules (varsity) are fully detailed with every piece of information you need to prepare for game day. Location, venue, audio and video streaming options, radio broadcast details, and links to buy tickets can be found in one place.

Back to the top navigation bar.

There are tabs to buy tickets on GoFan and a tab for The Aggie Sports Network. The ASN drop-down bar is a quick navigation tool to find certain information and content that lives on and off this site.

The 'SCS Athletics Information' tab is equipped with full staff directories and contact information, facilities information for visiting teams and fans, and details on media inquiries and sports medicine.

Now, to 'Watch the Aggies.' This year, The Aggie Sports Network plans to stream more games than ever from inside our home venues, and for many of those you will not have to leave the site. Under the 'Watch the Aggies' tab, there are currently two options. Those options will change to be as user-friendly as possible. In the fall, there are two sports with live games - volleyball and football. Volleyball home games on Douglass-Martin Court will stream directly to The Aggie Sports Network YouTube page with plans in the future to air the games on nearly all of The Aggie Sports Network platforms. Football games can be seen on this site as well as Facebook Live, the RadioAlabama Roku channel, Amazon Fire Channel, and Apple TV.

While the site officially launces today, many schedules and rosters for programs that compete in the winter and spring are not yet available, but will be available when those seasons begin. Also, for a mobile option, save SylacaugaAggies.com to your phone's home screen. Android users can do so by following these steps:
  1. Launch "Chrome" app.
  2. Open the website or web page you want to pin to your home screen.
  3. Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to home screen.
  4. You'll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.
For iPhone users, from the website, tap the Share button, then tap 'Add to Home Screen.' The icon appears only on the device where you add it.

The Aggie Sports Network's hope is the community will not only take pride in having a state-of -the-art, fully-dedicated athletic web presence, but also use it to boast about the successes of our city's players and coaches both on and off the field.

Athletics are the front porch of nearly every school system, and The Aggie Sports Network is committed to making the SCS front porch as beautiful and visible as possible.

Welcome, again, to SylacaugaAggies.com.
