SYLACAUGA, Ala. - Sylacauga High School is excited to announce the hiring of
Adam Brewer as its new head baseball coach. A 1999 SHS graduate and former state champion, Brewer returns home to lead the very program that helped launch his lifelong passion for the game.
A standout during his time at Sylacauga, Brewer helped secure multiple state titles and set state records as a member of the Aggie baseball team. After graduation, he continued his playing career at Auburn University and later Jacksonville State University, where he was a member of the Gamecocks baseball team. Brewer earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Jacksonville State in 2004.
With over 20 years of coaching and education experience, Brewer has served in key roles at Columbiana Middle School, Shelby County High School, and Centre High School. Most recently, he volunteered with the middle school baseball team at Fayetteville High School in Sylacauga.
"Coach Brewer brings a wealth of experience, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for Sylacauga baseball," said Principal
Gary Rivers. "He knows what it means to wear the Aggie uniform, and we're thrilled to have him back leading our program."
Brewer plans to build on Sylacauga's strong baseball tradition with a focus on discipline, fundamentals, and character development—both on and off the field.
"Coming back to coach at Sylacauga High School is truly special," said Brewer. "This community and this program have meant everything to me. I'm honored to be part of its future."
